The President of the Republic of Jailavera is thehead of stateto the Jailaver, exercising the highest functions of theexecutive powerof theRepublic. Officially, the President shares executive power with the President of the Council of Ministers: we speak ofsemi-presidential regime. In practice, when the parliamentary majority is acquired, the president concentrates all the executive power, even if the Vice-president remains head of theGovernmentand responsible for its policy before the Convention of the Republic. The President of the Republic sits in Mont-Tholon and since 2017  heis electedAtdirect universal suffrage. This is the most important political office in Jailavera, by theformal order, but also by embodying the authority of the micronation. The president is thechiefof State ,chiefof thearmies,  and guarantor of the Constitution. He plays a prominent role inforeign politic. It has theright of pardon.The mandate of the President of the Republic is five years.The current President of the Republic of Jaïlavera is Léopold DEUFF.
